Personal Entrepreneurial Characteristics - different situations and environments in which business operate require an entrepreneur to apply diverse competencies. This workshop enables you to explore your personality and competences and analyse your strengths and weaknesses in coping with the entrepreneurial world. How to Research your Market - This workshop will introduce market research and explain how it is a vital element in assessing the commercial viability of business ideas and forecasting sales. It aims to give practical ideas and cost effective methods by which research can be done.
Marketing your Business - Marketing is a key business activity. This workshop aims to build awareness of the importance of the marketing function. It provides ideas for low-cost promotional techniques that can be easily implemented in new and small businesses.
Practical Selling Skills - This workshop provides an introduction to the sales process and demonstrates some basic selling techniques that, when implemented can lead to increased sales through the understanding of how customers make decisions. Presentation & Communication Skills - This workshop provides an introduction to various forms of communication important for businesses. It helps identify good communication and some of the influences that can damage communication. Book Keeping and Accounts - This workshop offers an introduction to financial record - keeping. It covers basic practical accounting required for maintaining your books such as double entry book-keeping, sales and purchases ledgers, accounts management and preparing year end accounts.
Small Business Registration & Regulations - This workshop offers an overview of the main laws that affect business in general when registering and running. It is designed to raise awareness so that you have a better understanding of which areas of the law you may need assistance with or to investigate further. It is run by our consultants who are practicing lawyers and advocates of the high court.
Running a Business From Home - This workshop is designed for individuals wanting to run a small, home based business. As well as the psychological and emotional issues of working alone in the home, it also identifies challenges that need to be considered when a home becomes a workplace.
